Thai Life Insurance Company set up the Thai Life Insurance Medicare
in 1998 under the name of “Thai Life Care” and since then
has changed to “Thai Life Insurance Medicare” This is a
special service policy to cover medical expenses for the insureds who
are purchasing additional health insurance (HI), VIP health insurance
or additional accidental insurance (AD&D3). The existing policy
has to be in effect at least 6 months to be eligible to purchase this
special policy.

The insureds who have purchased Personal Accident Insurance
(PA), they are entitled to medical treatment as in-patient and out-patient.
The insureds can be treated as an in-patient at any of the network hospitals under the following conditions:

1. To provide I.D. card or official
document.
2. To fill out the claim form so the hospital
can contact the insurance company to receive approval.
3. The insurance company will cover medical
cost for the amount insured
but the insureds will pay medical expenses exceeding the amount insured (if any)
4. The hospital will check all medical expenses
and all documents. The insured has to sign for approval before leaving the
hospital.

For insureds who have purchased health insurance or personal
accident insurance, they are not required to file claim. The company
will review each policy when all documents have been received from the
hospital.

Today, there are 156 network hospitals all over the
country. There are 156 hospitals for
in-patients and 130 hospitals
for personal accident(PA) out-patients.
